RP example*: I sit in the hall of judgement. "Hey Ammit" I say to Ammit the devourer. He just responds with a slight growl and i smile. Thats normal for him. I sit patiently at the foot of Osiris' throne waiting on him returning so I can leave and attend to my duties. Finally Osiris returns. "Hello, goodbye" I say and stand up. I realise he hasn't spoken and look at him. His gaze is enough to tell me that today, I wont be leaving.
Personal history*: One of the roles of Anubis was "Guardian of the Scales". Deciding the weight of "truth" by weighing the Heart against Ma'at, who was often depicted as an ostrich feather, Anubis dictated the fate of souls. In this manner, he was a Lord of the Underworld, only usurped by Osiris.
